Your details stay with Sirpigal
We are a small, volunteer-run foundation. We keep only what we need to stay in touch and to help people, and we never give or sell it to anyone.
Never shared
No third parties: no companies, no advertisers, no other organisations.
Kept secure
Sign-in protected, sent over HTTPS, and backed up only in encrypted form.
Only the people who need it
You see your own details. A few trusted volunteers see what their role needs.
What we keep about members
Your name, email, phone number, address, what you do, your blood group and donation record if you share them, and the contributions you make. Everything except your name and email is optional.
How we protect it
- Sign-in required. Your details appear only after you sign in, and only on your own pages. Members never see other members’ contact details or how much anyone gave.
- Limited team access. Each volunteer sees only the area they help with (members, cases or accounts).
- Secure connection and backups. The website uses HTTPS, and our backups are always encrypted.
Blood requests
Your donation record is for you and visible only to you. Receiving blood requests is opt-in. When a member asks for blood, the team only posts the details in the members’ WhatsApp group; we don’t arrange blood or guarantee a donor.
Contributing without an account, or anonymously
Anyone can tell us about a contribution. If you choose to stay anonymous we don’t ask your name, and we never show it. We only need an email or phone number to confirm we received it, and we use it for nothing else. The same goes for messages to our help desk.
The members’ wall
Only signed-in members can see the wall, and photos on it are never public links. Posts with phone numbers or email addresses are blocked, and the team hides anything that shares someone’s personal details. Your time and blood donation records stay private unless you choose to share them.
People we help
Public pages never show the names, photos or documents of students and families we support. Fuller stories are visible only to signed-in members, and ID documents only to the volunteers handling that case.
How we contact you
We contact you only about Sirpigal’s work, the way you prefer. WhatsApp is optional: we use it only if you choose it. Contribution reminders are off unless you turn them on, and you choose how often and whether by email or WhatsApp. You can turn off news emails and reminders at any time.
Your choices
You can change your details any time on My details. To have your record removed, write to sirpigal2012@gmail.com and we will delete it, except money records we must keep for our accounts.
