Questions donors ask

Where does my money go?

To students’ fees, books, notebooks and computers, to children’s homes, and to families in emergencies. Our Reports page shows every year’s support, straight from our accounts.

How do you choose who to help?

A member usually tells us about a student or family. Our volunteers check the situation first: they speak to the family and confirm fees and documents with the school or college before we help.

Can I give for a particular student or need?

Yes. Our members see current appeals and can give to a specific one. Mention it when you tell us about your contribution, or join us to follow every request.

Can I give anonymously?

Yes. When you tell us about your contribution, tick “Keep me anonymous”. We only need an email or phone number to confirm we received it.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Not at present. Sirpigal Foundation is a registered non-profit, but it doesn’t have 80G or 12A registration, so donations don’t qualify for an income-tax deduction.

Will I get a confirmation?

Yes. Once the money reaches our account we confirm it by email or WhatsApp. For a receipt or statement, ask our help desk.
